Definition of Inflammation

The definition of inflammation is very important to know. Why?

When we know more about how things work the different functions of our body, the more calm and peaceful our life can be. Our body is made to take care of us, and it does a great job. Sometimes though it will light a fire within us called inflammation. In some cases this is good. Learning how and why things happen helps our mind cope with what is happening to us.

Once we have the knowledge of how our body works then we can make informed decisions. We can then take care of it better.

I asked myself what is a natural response and what is not. Life can be a bit confusing when it comes to our health, so I wanted to figure it out.

Listed below are more of the questions and answers that I did research on:

Four classic symtoms of inflammation.

Inflammation process.

Causes of Inflammation.

Systemic Inflammation.

One of the most important things I've come to know is to listen to the messages my body is trying to tell me.

Example: When I'm hungry I give my body not just any food but great anti inflammatory foods that taste great. When I'm tired I give it sleep. When it signals I'm thirsty I have water handy.

I can tell you I ignored these signals because I was just to busy and when I did that, my body then returned in kind. In what way? By poor Health! I've learned to listen not only to what I'm thinking but also to what my body is trying to tell me.

I want to tell you that inflammation is a natural thing for our body to do, when we are injured, when we catch a virus or bacteria enters our body.

The definition of inflammation is a natural response of the immune system to any invader that seeks to harm us.

I personally look at inflammation as a good thing when that natural response is turned on in the case of any invader. You see the fever or inflammation we feel is our immune systems way of fighting the enemy within.

I'm glad this takes place. Not to pleasant to feel, but on the other hand I know that it should be happening. If this process did not take place that virus could over take our immune system and kill us.

When the war is won by our immune system, the inflammation is shut off and we go on with our life. Feeling a great deal better that the invader is dead and the fever or inflammation is gone.

It brings me peace of mind to know the definition of inflammation and what goes on, and in this case it's a good thing.
