Lung Inflammmation
by A. Malootian

I've had all the symptoms of pleurisy, as described above, and I am treating it with ibuprofen, antibiotics, and beta blockers and water pills. How long can I expect the condition to last? It has already been almost 2 weeks.
Hi Mrs. Malootian:
That depends on how bad the infection and inflammation is in the tissue that surrounds your lungs and just where that infection is coming from.
You see if the problem is coming from some where other than your lungs then it can be an ongoing problem. We often will see the source of many of our health concerns come from our small and large bowels.
That is why it does not always go away, the problem is really coming from the bowels. In order to clear up the lungs we must take care of the bowels.
Why would I say that?
Because all of our body is feed by our intestines, so if we have a great deal of bad bacteria there, it will find its way to other parts of our body, including our lungs and surrounding tissue.
Your body needs about 80% good bacteria or Friendly Flora, in it to fight the bad bacteria or any infection that we might get. I should also mention that things like drugs kill off our good bacteria and junk food can also kill that life saving bacteria.
My father had the same problem as you, so I can tell you what he did that helped. He stopped smoking for one thing.
He toke the herbs called fenugreek, comfrey, mullein and garlic. These are not always in the same capsule in the health food store. You can find some of them as teas.
These and good bacteria helped to clear things up for him.
Hope this helps you, Mrs. Malootian.
